JLETI Innovation Competitions
In addition to its writing competitions, JLETI hosts Innovation Competitions designed to advance AI literacy, legal information literacy, access to justice, ethical innovation, and practice readiness. Open to students, professionals, or interdisciplinary teams, these competitions invite participants to use AI and emerging technologies responsibly to address real legal problems, from legal research and compliance to court access, legal education, law practice, and the delivery of legal services. Competitions may be held remotely, in person, or in hybrid formats, and may include practical skills challenges, innovation sprints, and technology-design projects that bring together legal minds, technologists, engineers, researchers, and other problem-solvers. Through these competitions, JLETI expands the role of a journal beyond publication, creating a space where scholarship, technology, and practice meet to develop thoughtful, transparent, and human-centered solutions for the future of law. Information about current or upcoming competition opportunities, eligibility, deadlines, judging criteria, prizes, and submission instructions will be posted as opportunities become available.
